The Ducato is one of Europe's most popular large vans — chosen by tradespeople, small builders merchants, and small businesses who need serious capacity. Our mid cage protects that investment without leaving a mark on the van.
The Fiat Ducato is the reference point for the platform — the Peugeot Boxer and Citroën Relay are essentially the same van. The Ducato's large load bay is one of its defining strengths, and the mid cage at 2,500mm provides the length needed to create a proper security barrier across the full bulkhead depth.
The Ducato is popular with small builders merchants, tradespeople, and businesses that use it as a daily workhorse. Tools, materials, and specialist equipment are often left in the van overnight or on site. The mid cage creates a locked steel zone that makes opportunistic theft significantly harder — and puts a professional deterrent in plain view when the rear doors are opened.
Like all Van Vault Cages installations, everything is entirely reversible. The cage bolts in using the Ducato's factory anchor points and unbolts cleanly when required — no damage, no modifications, no questions from the leasing company or next owner.
The Ducato's generous rear aperture and well-positioned floor anchor points make the mid cage installation clean and efficient. Two fitters work through this in well under 30 minutes.
Swing the Fiat Ducato's rear barn doors fully open. With the Ducato's wide rear opening — one of the advantages of this platform — mid cage panels slide in cleanly without touching the door seals or bodywork.
Cage sections are fed through the rear and assembled in position inside the Ducato's load bay. The Ducato's flat, clean floor layout makes it easy to position the cage accurately against the bulkhead with both fitters working from either end.
The Fiat Ducato has factory lashing rings and anchor points built into the load bay floor. These are exactly what the cage bolts to. No drilling. No new holes. The floor remains in its original, unmodified state throughout.
The sliding door panel is fitted into the Ducato's side door frame aperture. No drilling is needed to secure it — it clips in cleanly and closes off side access to the cage interior. A neat finish that completes the full security perimeter.
Final torque check on all cage bolts, lock mechanism confirmed working, side panel secure. The Ducato is ready to go. Under 30 minutes — and you'd never know anything had been fitted from the outside.
