Why the Compact Cage for the Dispatch?

The Citroën Dispatch shares its platform with the Peugeot Expert and Toyota Proace — the PSA/Stellantis group's compact van architecture. The load bay dimensions and anchor point layout are the same across all three, so the compact cage specification covers any of them. If you run a mixed brand fleet or switch van brands at renewal, the cage transfers directly.

The Dispatch's compact van proportions are well-matched to the 1,800mm cage length and 1,180mm arch-to-arch width. It secures the bulkhead zone without constraining the useful load bay space, and the cage door opens towards the rear for easy access to tools when needed.

For tradespeople running a Dispatch, the no-modification installation is a straightforward decision — the cage goes in cleanly, does its job, and comes out just as cleanly when you change vans.

Installation

Fitted to Your Citroën Dispatch in Under 30 Minutes

The Dispatch's accessible load bay makes for a quick, clean install. One fitter handles the compact cage comfortably without assistance.

01

Open the Dispatch's Rear Doors

Open the Citroën Dispatch's rear doors to give full access to the load bay. The Dispatch's rear aperture accommodates the compact cage panels without any difficulty — they slide in straight and flat through the rear opening.

02

Feed the Compact Cage In and Assemble Against the Bulkhead

The compact cage sections are fed through the rear opening and assembled inside the Dispatch's load bay. Positioned against the front bulkhead, the cage leaves the rear section of the bay clear for normal day-to-day loading.

03

Bolt to the Dispatch's Factory Floor Points

The Dispatch has factory load lashing anchors built into the floor. The cage bolts directly to these — no drilling, no cutting, no adhesive. The floor is left in its original state throughout and after the installation.

04

Fit the Side Door Panel

The side panel is secured into the Dispatch's sliding door frame without drilling. It completes the cage's perimeter by closing off side-door access to the secured zone — a quick fit that takes only a few minutes.

05

Lock Up and Head Out

Final tighten on all bolts, lock mechanism tested, side panel confirmed. Under 30 minutes from start to finish. The Dispatch is ready for the job — tools locked away, van completely standard in appearance.
